All Starmont digital signage devices require outbound access to the Internet in order to contact Starmont servers for content and software updates. Specifically, each device uses the following ports for its operation:

• HTTP port 80 - Critical requirement
• HTTPS port 443 - Critical requirement
• NTP port 123 (UDP) - Required for time synchronization

No inbound port mapping is required and DNS servers must be provided by the client either statically, or via DHCP. Do not connect Starmont media players to the Internet via a caching proxy server.
